Stawa Młyny and the western breakwater

The white "windmill" at the end of the breakwater is the symbol of Świnoujście. In fact it is a 19th-century navigation mark that still guides ships into the port today.

The seafront promenade

A seafront walkway that runs straight on into the promenades of the German resorts. Together around 12 km, one of the longest seaside promenades in Europe.

Fort Anioła (Angel Fort)

A round, three-storey rotunda from the mid-19th century at the edge of Park Zdrojowy. Inside there are exhibitions and a café with a fireplace; on the roof, a terrace with a rose garden.

Boat trips around the port and to Germany

A cruise around the port, to the mouth of the Świna or to the German resorts on Usedom. Świnoujście is best seen from the water.

Beach by the breakwater and Stawa Młyny

The eastern end of the beach, right at the mouth of the Świna. From here you can watch Stawa Młyny, the port entrance and the ferries sailing to Sweden.

Beach towards the border

The western stretch of the beach, which runs straight on into the beaches of German Ahlbeck. A good choice if you want to escape the biggest crowds.

Warszów wild beach

A beach on the other side of the Świna, beyond the lighthouse. Dunes, forest and much more space than by the promenade.

Międzyzdroje

The best-known resort on the island of Wolin, 20 km from Świnoujście: a pier, the Promenade of Stars and the gateway to Wolin National Park.

Turquoise Lake in Wapnica

A turquoise lake in a former chalk pit. The nearby Sand Hill (Piaskowa Góra) is the best place to see its colour.

Lubin hillfort

A viewpoint on the highest cliff above the Szczecin Lagoon, with a panorama of the Świna backwater delta. Plus the traces of a thousand-year-old stronghold and one of the oldest churches in Pomerania.

Ahlbeck

The nearest German resort, which you can reach on foot from Świnoujście along the promenade. A historic pier from 1898, white villas and beach chairs.

Bansin

The furthest and quietest of the three imperial spas, with a 285-metre pier. The goal of a bike ride along the sea.

Kamminke: a fishing harbour on the lagoon

A fishing village just across the border on the Szczecin Lagoon. A small harbour with fishing boats, fish smoked on the jetty, a viewpoint looking towards Świnoujście and Golm hill next door. About 6.5 km from the centre by bike.
