The seaside district: close to the beach
Most visitors stay in the seaside district (Dzielnica Nadmorska), between Park Zdrojowy and the beach. From here the sand and the promenade are closest, and restaurants, cafés and the aquapark are a few minutes’ walk away. It is lively in season and quiet outside it. The best choice for families with children and for those who come mainly for the beach.
The centre: town and port
The town centre lies on the Świna, about 20 minutes’ walk from the beach through Park Zdrojowy. Here you will find plac Wolności, the quay with views of the ships, the museum and the ferry landing for Warszów. The centre suits you if you want to be close to the ferry and the station or prefer a town atmosphere to a resort.
Warszów: the right bank
The district on the other side of the Świna, with the railway station, the ferry terminal for Sweden, the lighthouse and a wild beach. A good base for those arriving by train and looking for peace, but to reach the centre and the main beach you need to take the ferry or drive through the tunnel.
Without a car and with children
- Without a car, the seaside district or the centre is the most convenient: on the left bank everything is within walking or cycling distance. More in our guide Świnoujście without a car.
- With children, choose a place as close to the beach as possible, with parking or a lift: on such a wide beach every hundred metres less makes a difference.
- With a campervan, caravan or tent, you can stay at a campsite by the beach or in the yacht harbour. We describe the rules and places in our guide By campervan, caravan and tent.
