Prochownia occupies the former powder magazine of the Świnoujście fortress, a historic building from the mid-19th century. Hence the name and the unusual atmosphere: vaulted brick ceilings, heavy wooden tables and a tiled stove that is a favourite spot on cooler days.
The menu is regional food made to traditional recipes, and some dishes come from the restaurant’s own smokehouse.
The restaurant is on ul. Jachtowa between Fort Anioła and the West Fort, a few minutes from the breakwater with Stawa Młyny. A good lunch stop on the Fort trail walk.
Menus, prices and opening hours change with the season, so we do not list them. Check them on site or in the maps before you go.
