How to plan your sightseeing

Świnoujście's attractions lie on both banks of the Świna. On Usedom (the left bank) you will find the centre, the promenade, Park Zdrojowy, Fort Anioła, the West Fort and the breakwater with Stawa Młyny. On Wolin (the right bank, the Warszów district) stand the lighthouse and Fort Gerharda.

On foot or by bike you cross between the banks on the free Bielik ferry; by car you take the tunnel under the Świna. That is why it is easiest to split your sightseeing into two parts: a day or half a day for the left bank and another for Warszów.

Most attractions are flat and close together. On the left bank you can walk everywhere; for Warszów take a bike, or cross on the ferry and walk about half an hour to the lighthouse.
