What to see
- The European Bison Show Reserve on the edge of Międzyzdroje, founded in 1976. Here you can see bison and other forest animals up close.
- The cliffs above the Pomeranian Bay, including Gosań, considered the highest point of Poland’s cliff coast.
- Kawcza Góra with a viewpoint over the sea, on the trail from Międzyzdroje.
- The Turquoise Lake in a former chalk pit in the south of the island.
The park in numbers
The park covers almost 11,000 hectares. Besides the forests and cliffs of Wolin island, it also includes the marshy islands of the Świna backwater delta, one of the most important bird refuges in this part of Europe.
Practical tips
- The best starting point is Międzyzdroje: the trails begin there and the bison reserve is on the edge of town.
- On the cliffs, stay on the marked paths and keep away from the edge: the cliffs are prone to landslides.
- Check admission rules, opening hours and prices for the reserve on the park’s website.
