Świnoujście is flat, so the best views come from climbing the lighthouse or walking to the end of the breakwater. From there you can see the mouth of the Świna, the port, the beach and, in good weather, the German part of Usedom. A drive of a few dozen minutes away, on the island of Wolin, there are two viewpoints worth a trip: the Lubin hillfort with a panorama of the Szczecin Lagoon and the Świna delta, and Sand Hill above the Turquoise Lake.

Świnoujście Lighthouse

The tallest lighthouse on the Polish Baltic coast. 308 steps lead up to the terrace, from which you can see the mouth of the Świna, the port, the beach and the German part of Usedom.

Stawa Młyny and the western breakwater

The white "windmill" at the end of the breakwater is the symbol of Świnoujście. In fact it is a 19th-century navigation mark that still guides ships into the port today.
