Spa town

The spa fee

Świnoujście is a spa town, so visitors staying overnight pay a spa fee. Who pays it, who collects it and where to check the rate.

Who pays

The spa fee (opłata uzdrowiskowa) is paid by people who stay in Świnoujście for more than a day for tourism, leisure, health or training purposes. It is charged for every day or part of a day of your stay.

Who collects it

The fee is collected by places to stay: hotels, guesthouses, sanatoriums, campsites and other accommodation. They then pass it on to the town. It is usually added to the accommodation bill or collected at check-in.

How much it is

The rate is set by the town council. Since 1 January 2026 it has been 6.67 złoty per day. The rate can change from year to year, so it is best to check the current amount in the town’s Public Information Bulletin (BIP) or ask your accommodation.

On the German side of Usedom there is a separate visitor tax (Kurtaxe), charged by the resorts there.
