  • A full day including travel
The former power station building in Peenemünde, home of the museum

Why go

From 1936 to 1945, a research centre at the northern tip of Usedom developed rockets, including the V2 weapon. Since 1991 the Historisch-Technisches Museum Peenemünde has occupied the former power station and observation bunker. On around 5,000 square metres of exhibition space, the museum tells the story of the centre through documents, original parts, eyewitness accounts and films.

How to get there

  • By car along Usedom island, about an hour’s drive.
  • By UBB train from Świnoujście Centrum station, changing in Zinnowitz.

Check opening hours, prices and the languages of guided tours on the museum’s website.
