Why go

Heringsdorf is the grandest of Usedom’s three imperial spas. Dozens of restored spa villas line the seafront, and from the promenade the 508-metre pier, the longest in Germany, stretches out into the sea.

What to see

  • The pier with its pavilion and views along the whole Usedom coast.
  • The villa-lined promenade linking Heringsdorf with Ahlbeck and Bansin.
  • The beach with beach chairs, quieter than in Świnoujście.

Getting there and back

The nicest way is to walk along the promenade (the walk Along the promenade to Heringsdorf) or cycle there, then return by UBB train to Świnoujście Centrum station. In season there are also boats linking Świnoujście with the piers of the German resorts.
