Accessibility for people with reduced mobility

Świnoujście is flat, and the promenade is long and level. Which places are easy to reach and where there may be difficulties.

Świnoujście is a flat town, which makes getting around in a wheelchair, with a walker or with a pushchair much easier. Below we have gathered what we know for certain. It is best to confirm details for specific places with them before your visit.

Easy to reach

  • The promenade: long, flat and paved, with a path all the way to Germany.
  • Park Zdrojowy: flat paths.
  • The Świna quay in the centre.
  • The western breakwater to Stawa Młyny: a flat concrete pier.
  • The Tourist Information Centre on plac Słowiański: on the ground floor, adapted for people with disabilities.

There may be difficulties

  • The beach is very wide and sandy. Check at the beach paths whether there are mats or boardwalks to help you reach the water.
  • The lighthouse: 308 steps lead to the terrace, with no lift.
  • The forts: ramparts, steps and uneven ground. Ask the staff which parts of the exhibition are accessible.

If you have questions about the accessibility of a particular place, ask at the Tourist Information Centre.
